By combining these two principles, KOBELCO has raised the bar with the SK140SRD, the new multi-use dismantling machine. Purpose-built with specialised equipment for scrap and metal demolition, this machine brings any dismantling operation to the next level.
A new heavy duty boom was developed specifically for metal demolition that uses thick plating and reinforced materials in each part and a new heavy duty arm that has a reinforced lower plate and better steel-plate materials.
KOBELCO excavators continue to provide an unforgettable experience for the operator, built to tackle any challenge.

KOBELCO’s demolition excavators with exclusive NEXT joint systems are designed and built to allow quick and easy setup, enabling fast boom assembly and disassembly, for maximum flexibility and productivity on the worksite. The ability to quickly and easily change booms allows you to adapt the machine to the needs of the job, enabling the operator to work at multiple heights throughout the demolition process, with a single machine. This unique and innovative design improves demolition productivity and machine utilisation.
The NEXT joint system has also been designed for ease of transportation, allowing simple assembly and disassembly, and compact transport dimensions. Combined with KOBELCO’s excellent fuel efficiency and legendary machine durability, KOBELCO demolition excavators deliver reduced operational costs, less downtime and greater return on investment.
KOBELCO SK350DLC and SK400DLC high reach demolition excavators are built with cutting-edge technology, providing high performance and reliability—to take demolition efficiency to a new level.

The NEXT demolition attachment system with common base boom design has been engineered by KOBELCO to improve worksite efficiency, allowing booms to be assembled quickly and safely. Each boom segment utilises a common NEXT system connection joint, simplifying assembly/disassembly and transport. Hydraulic piping connections are also simplified, and all assembly/disassembly steps — from pressure release, to joint connection, to fixing of pins — can be completed quickly and safely.
KOBELCO has pioneered the development of the separate boom in Japan, and the NEXT separate boom is the product of a wealth of technologies built up through long experience in this field. By attaching a large nibbler, demolition is completed swiftly and efficiently, whether it’s the lower floors of tall buildings where the concrete is thickest, or basement floors and foundations. Working ranges at ground level are extensive, and the maximum working depth is top level in all classes.

As the market leader for demolition equipment in Japan, Kobelco understands how challenging demolition jobsites can be, and machinery needs to be strong enough to withstand tough conditions, but also powerful enough to get the job done.
The launch of the next-generation SK550DLC-11 delivers increased engine performance, enhanced durability and improved operator comfort.
While the Kobelco SK550DLC-11 is a common base machine, the Kobelco-developed NEXT system attachments means that the machine can be adapted for multiple applications on the jobsite, including high elevation demolition projects as well as breaking up building foundations. The machine has four ultra-long attachment configurations and can work to a maximum height of 27.5m. The separate boom configuration is ideal for tackling lower floors of tall buildings and has a maximum working depth of 6.2m. The reinforced attachments can be easily changed on site.

There is literally no job too big for the Kobelco SK1300DLC. With an operating weight of 130 tonnes and a colossal reach of up to 40m, the SK1300DLC is currently the world’s largest OEM manufactured building demolition machine. Its introduction to the European market in March 2022 was met with high expectations due to its superior productivity, versatility, easy transportation and the ability to use more powerful crushers at new heights
The NEXT ADVANCE 4-piece high reach demolition attachment was developed to achieve greater working heights with heavier tools; the new articulated structure enables a heavy tool to be elevated while keeping the machine’s centre of gravity low. This makes it possible to overcome the current operational limits of other 100 tonne-class machines.
